Sciene Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 21, 2025
Entity: Sciene LLC
Contact: privacy@sciene.com • privacy-appeal@sciene.com
We believe responsible use of data builds trust and fuels growth. Sciene is committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of every individual we interact with and to being transparent about our practices at all times, in accordance with applicable U.S. privacy laws.
We do not ask for personal information unless we truly need it—for example, when you contact us about our services, subscribe to updates, download content, or explore opportunities to work with us. We do not share personal information except: (i) with service providers who help us operate our website and deliver our services; (ii) to comply with law; (iii) to develop our services; or (iv) to protect our rights. We do not store personal information on our systems longer than needed for operations or as otherwise stated here.
This Privacy Policy explains the types of personal information we may collect about you when you interact with any Sciene website or service where this Policy appears. Sciene LLC is the data controller for information collected on our websites. Sciene currently operates only in the United States and does not offer services in the EU/EEA.
1. Personal Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
When you use our site or contact us, we may collect: – Identifiers (name, email address, phone number, postal address, company name/URL) – Professional details (role, department) – Communication content (messages you send us) – Recruiting information (if you apply to work with us)
If you provide a phone number, you consent to receive calls from us or our service providers acting on our behalf (including via autodialer). You may opt out at any time by contacting us at privacy@sciene.com.
1.2 Information Received from Clients
Sciene receives data from clients and processes it under contract to provide our services. In those cases, we act as a service provider/processor and handle the data only on our clients’ instructions. Clients remain responsible for their own notices and choices offered to their end users.
1.3 Website & Device Information
Like most websites, we collect information browsers typically make available (e.g., browser type, language preference, referring site, date/time of visit) and IP addresses for signed-in users or when necessary for security. We use this to understand and improve site performance and reliability.
1.4 Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and measure performance. See our Cookie Policy for details and choices. You can control cookies via the banner and your browser settings; some features may not function without certain cookies.
Cookie Types We May Use
– Strictly Necessary (required for core site features; do not store PI)
– Functional (remember preferences)
– Performance/Analytics (e.g., Google Analytics)
– Targeting/Advertising (interest-based advertising) — currently limited or disabled by default; if enabled, you will have controls to opt out via the banner and industry tools (DAA/NAI).
1.5 Aggregated Statistics
We may collect and publish aggregated statistics (e.g., most visited pages). We do not disclose personally identifying information except as described in this Policy.
2. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information to: – Operate, maintain, and secure our websites and services – Provide customer support and respond to inquiries – Analyze usage and improve our products and content – Communicate about our services (where permitted) – Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents – Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
2.1 AI/LLM Features and Model Providers
Sciene uses enterprise AI services such as Microsoft Azure OpenAI, OpenAI (Enterprise), Anthropic (Claude Enterprise), and Google Vertex AI/Gemini to power certain features (“AI Features”). We configure these services so that provider foundation models are not trained on our or our customers’ inputs or outputs by default. Where available, we enable minimal/zero data retention.
Data that may be processed by AI Features
– Inputs you provide (e.g., prompts, files, messages, metadata)
– Model outputs we return to you
– System telemetry (e.g., error logs, performance metrics) used to ensure reliability and security
Your choices
– Avoid submitting sensitive data (e.g., financial account numbers, precise geolocation, health data, government IDs) unless we have explicitly agreed in writing.
– If you prefer not to use AI Features, contact us; some experiences can be delivered without them.
Automated decision-making
Sciene’s AI Features are designed to assist users. We do not use AI to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about individuals (e.g., credit, employment, housing) without appropriate human oversight and additional notices.
3. Sharing and Disclosure
We disclose personal information to: – Service Providers (hosting, security, analytics, communications) under contracts that limit their use to our instructions – Affiliates within our corporate group (e.g., Quartile Digital Holdings, Inc.) for governance and support – Business transferees in the event of a corporate transaction – Authorities where required by law or to protect rights and safety
We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by California law. If this ever changes, we will update this Policy and provide required opt-outs.
Joint marketing (optional/occasional). For U.S.-based joint webinars or downloads, if you opt in, we may share your registration details with the partner named on the form so they can contact you about their offerings. You can opt out at any time and should also use the partner’s own opt-out process.
4. Storing & Protecting Your Information
Sciene operates in the United States. By using our site, you understand your information will be processed in the U.S. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the data we process, including Microsoft 365 E5 security controls, MFA, encryption in transit and at rest, and role-based access. No system is 100% secure.
If we provide account credentials, you are responsible for keeping them confidential.
5. Third-Party Links
Our site may link to third-party sites. Their privacy notices govern those sites; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
6. Your Choices & Rights
- Email marketing. You can unsubscribe using the link in our emails or by contacting privacy@sciene.com. We may still send transactional or administrative messages.
- Cookies & advertising. Use the cookie banner and your browser settings. For interest-based ads, you can also visit industry opt-out pages (e.g., Digital Advertising Alliance).
- State privacy rights (e.g., CA, CO, CT, VA, UT). Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, or opt out of certain processing. Submit requests to privacy@sciene.com. We will verify and respond as required by law. If we deny your request, you may appeal by emailing privacy-appeal@sciene.com.

Our site and services are not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact privacy@sciene.com and we will take appropriate steps.
8. Sensitive Data
Please do not send us sensitive data (e.g., SSNs, health information, biometric identifiers). If you choose to provide such data, you consent to its processing consistent with this Policy.
